HOW WOMEN ARE UPLIFTED ABOVE MEN IN THE BIBLE!! !!!!! !!!!

Ephesians 5:21-33
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. [22] Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. [23] For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. [24] Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. [25] Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her [26] to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, [27] and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. [28] In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. [29] After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— [30] for we are members of his body. [31] “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” [32] This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. [33] However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Women are not treated as second class citizens in the new testament. They’re ARE infact uplifted above the men as a egual helpmate ment to be protected and cherished. Sure the bible say for a wife (not woman) to submit unto her own husband (not man) but Paul takes special care to say we are all equal in christ. And lets us not forget how Paul begin by pre-positioning that they Submit to one another! Ephesians 5:21

Galatians 3:27-28 NIV
for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Nowhere in the new testament does it say husbands make your wives submit to you it says wifes submit to your husband something the wife does willingly?

How so if its something ment for the women to do willingly does it make the women a second class citizens? Infact it reaffirms their equality as it is presented as something for them to chose in obedience and honor to God (not man) and  furthermore the Bible also says husbands love your wife as Christ loves the church!

Christ shares his inheritance with us the church as eguals not as second class citizens and he has forfeited his life for ours and even more Christ lived as a servent to the church so if anything it says to husbands are to serve their wife!  That doesnt sound like a second class citizens to me.

What many dont understand is that marriage is a commitment of submission and service to one another And its all made out of deep love for eachother and  for God who brought them together.

Biblical submission is not a forced submission it is a submission made from a place of love and honor and being the head of the wife is not a call of lordship is a call of service-hood its a labor of love.

To hold the title of head of wife / preist of home is a responsibility of service thrust upon the husband and the father from God!

Polygamy!

Lately I’ve heard the argument several times that polygamy (having multiple wives) is ok and not a sin but how God intended it because it’s all throughout the old testiment.

I find this to be flaud for 2 reasons #2: When God saw that Adam was alone and that is was bad for man to be alone He made for Adam one wife, One Eve, not two. This says to me that God intended for us to only take one wife.

I’d also like to note that every man from Adam all the way up to Noah and his Sons when a wife is mentioned each man only has one. Cain one wife, Adam one Eve, Noah one wife, Noah’s sons one wife each. And

#2: Paul plainly states its a sin to have multiple wives!

1 Corinthians 7:2-4

1Co 7:2 But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.
1Co 7:3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 1Co 7:4 The wife’s body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband’s body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife.

Notice The husband’s and wife’s bodies belong to eachother!
